North Pier Design was moving from the fourth to the ninth floor of their Fulton Market building. It sounded simple until we saw the plan chests and the printers.

There was one freight elevator, shared with two other tenants, and the large-format printers were too wide to tip on their side.

  • Elevator plan: We booked the freight elevator for two evenings and timed every load to the minute.
  • Printers: Moved upright on custom dollies after the vendor secured the print heads.
  • Desks: Forty desks taken apart and rebuilt to the new layout overnight.

Staff left on Thursday evening and came in to working desks on Monday morning. The plan chests went up without a single drawer opening.
